Link image not displayed properly with Hootsuite/ LinkedIn

Hi there,

We are new to HootSuite and posted our first post (semi) succesfully.
The issue we are facing: The images are not displayed properly.
For example:
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6399632622372352000

The size is reduced and the outlining is cut off the picture.
Also if we add a file to the post (an image) we have the same problem, the edges are cut off in the LinkedIn feed.

Even more important: the link that we are adding to the post is missing when viewing it on LinkedIn.

This is how we post:

And this is the result:

Look forward to receiving your tips and help!

    AnneZendkracht,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community Forum!

When images are uploaded to LinkedIn Profiles from a third party such as Hootsuite, LinkedIn will not host the image in full, but will rather refer to the image as hosted behind a link. When using Hootsuite, for example, uploaded images are "hosted" using ow.ly/i URLs.

LinkedIn will then provide of a preview of the image, as hosted within this URL. The preview frame itself rests at a static 445x445 pixels, and will crop/scale your image accordingly. This is why the image will look "blown up." If you click on this preview, you will then be able to view the image in full.

Please note that this formatting is done by LinkedIn, and is only relevant to LinkedIn Profiles (rather than Business Pages). I am very sorry for any inconvenience, however we are unable to override these settings at this time.
