Whenever I try to search, or look up a Titter user's "Mentions" tab, I get "an error occurred with twitter api, please try again." I can search for Twitter users, but I cannot search Twitter. What gives?

I am using the desktop client on Chrome on Windows. I already tried reconnecting my HootSuite account and my Twitter account, doing a hard refresh, and restarting Chrome.

The error occurs using "Quick Search" or setting up a Search stream. However, my existing search streams are still working.

This has been happening for at least 72 hours.

Official Response
Hi everyone,

I've got some great news to brighten up your Friday!

An update was just released by our Development Team that we believe will correct the Search API errors that were being seen within your account.

If you are logged in to HootSuite currently, please refresh your browser:

On a mac: SHIFT + COMMAND + R
Or on a PC: CTRL + F5

Hopefully this should fix this issue for everyone, but if you find that it still persists, please let us know and we will investigate further with you.

Thank you all for your patience and for sticking with us while we looked into this, and have a fantastic weekend!

Kind Regards,
Fernanda | @HootSuite_Help | HootSuite Help Desk -
